Blend: 100% Sagrantino grapes
It is a wine totally based on Sagrantino grape.

The Sagrantino, a grape cultivated since ancient times on the hills near Montefalco, is considered a local vineyard. Many the hypothesis concerning its birth: there are some people who thinks this wine has Spanish origins, others believe it is a wine which was imported by the first Franciscans monks, then there are people who substain the theory that this wine was imported by the Saracens.
The production of this wine belongs to the territories of Montefalco, Bevagna, Gualdo Cattaneo, Castel Ritaldi and Giano dell'Umbria.
Because of its richness on polyphenols and tannins, this wine has an extraordinary longevity. Considering that, Sagrantino needs to be perferrined in a wooden barrel first, and put in a bottle then: in this way, in fact, the wine can express its unicity at best of its potentialities.
Food pairings: grilled meat, stew, brasati, dark gravies, wild games, and aged cheese.
Service Temperature: 18° C.
Indispensable perfecting: 37 months from the 1° of december.
During the first 12 months, of the whole 37, the wine has to be put in woodden barrels, instead in the last 4 months the wine has to be put in the bottle.
